I had started the restoration by entrusting it to a body shop that got practically everything wrong, even the colour. I then brought my Porsche 911 2.4S Targa MY 1972…
Forty years searching for what can no longer be found
Porschemania was founded in the 1980s by Michele Carabellese. The early years: sourcing discontinued models, complete restoration, returning them to the road. Artisan work, no shortcuts.
Demand grew while original parts disappeared. We expanded our search to the United States, where a no-compromise classic car culture already existed in the 1980s. When components could no longer be found, we recreated them. Forty years of this work have made Porschemania the reference point for those who will not accept "almost original".
- Sourcing rare components worldwide
- Full restoration to original specifications
- Period-correct parts and accessories
- Body, upholstery and interiors
Makers, not resellers
Over the years we have built an extensive warehouse of original parts for classic Porsches: NOS components, carefully preserved pieces and parts we manufacture ourselves when the original no longer exists.
We do not resell from third-party catalogues: our assortment is our own, built over forty years piece by piece. What you see online is only part of it; if you are looking for a specific part, even a rare or discontinued one, ask us directly.
Original and NOS parts
New, unused components or parts preserved in original condition, individually verified.
Custom recreation
When the original no longer exists, we reproduce it following period-correct specifications.
Ever-growing catalogue
The online catalogue is a window into the warehouse, not the full inventory. Contact us for any search.
Authenticity
We source original or period-correct components worldwide: Italy, Europe, USA. No shortcuts. Every part is verified and documented.
Experience
Forty years of restorations. This is not longevity: it is historical memory. We know what is original, what is an approximation, and the difference between the two.
Vision
A classic Porsche 356 or 911 is worth over 110% more today than ten years ago. We know which examples carry real value, and which ones hide problems.

There are good workshops for Porsches in Germany. But for my 1970 911 I wanted someone who would treat it as a unique piece. I found Porschemania on specialist forums…
I shipped the SC from London. Couldn’t find anyone in England with the right materials for the interior. Porschemania worked with period-correct leathers made to measure. Two months, no issues.…
I was skeptical about backdate projects. I feared something artificial. What I saw come out of Porschemania was coherent in every detail, nothing jarred. It took six months and every…
The 911 had a repair on the front hood that was barely visible but had bothered me for years. In raking light the colour was slightly off. Porschemania redid the…
I had a clear idea: the SC with a 1970s look, tobacco leather interior, gunmetal wheels. I didn’t want something generic. Porschemania took the idea seriously from the first appointment.…
The Targa roof on my 1970 911 was the car’s weak point. Seized mechanism, blackened inner lining, one side seal completely deteriorated. Porschemania has been dealing with these things for…
The hood needed replacing and the driver’s seat had peeling leather. Porschemania found the right materials without pushing modern alternatives on me. The result is coherent with the car, not…
